maintenance shop with schedule maintenance bays, storage areas and
hardstand, supporting facilities include utilities, electric service,
fire protection and alarm systems, paving, walks, curbs and gutters,
storm drainage, site improvements, security fencing, security lighting
and intrusion detection system. The plans and specifications have been
placed on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge.
Plans and specifications will not be provided in a paper hard copy
format. Notification of amendments shall be made through either 3.5"
diskette, CD ROM, and/or the Internet. The Government intends to issue
this solicitation through the use of CD ROM and the internet. However,
the Government reserves the right to use only the internet as
notification of any changes to this solicitation. It is therefore the
contractors responsibility to check the following address daily for any
posted changes to this solicitation. Contractors may view and/or
download this solicitation and all amendments from the internet at the
following internet address "http://eds.swf.usace.army.mil". Estimated
Cost Range: $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Solicitation to be
issued on or about 1 August 1997. Proposals are due on or about 3
September 1997. Duration of contract is 360 days. This an unrestricted
solicitation. Offers from all qualified business concerns are
solicited. If a large business firm intends to submit a proposal, it
must comply with FAR 52.219-9 clause regarding the requirement for a
subcontracting plan. The Fort Worth District goals are as follows
(expressed as a percentage of the contractor's total planned
subcontract amount): Small Business-55%; Small Disadvantaged
Business-8.5%; Woman-owned Small Business-3%; Historically Black
Colleges & Universities/Minority Institutions (where applicable)-5.5%.
