jmoore@ipo.noaa.gov. This is a market survey to identify sources and to
request information (RFI) on pricing and products for VHF antennae to
support polar, sun synchronous satellites owned by the U. S.
Government, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). We
are considering both helix and omni-directional antennae. The
Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this
solicitation. This is a solicitation for information or planning
purposes under FAR 52.215-3. The Government is currently evaluating
options available to it to acquire the capability below. As yet, no
firm requirement exists for this equipment. Specific Requirements and
other Salient Performance Capabilities are: 1.a. Transmit Polarization:
Linear/RHCP/LHCP; 1.b. Receive Polarization: RHCP/LHCP/linear over 360
degrees; 2. Tracking Modes: manual, autotrack, program track, and
scan; 3. Other Capabilities: Acquire and track in azimuth and
elevation. Space vehicles tracked from 0-360 degrees azimuth; 0-90
degrees elevation; from 600-6000 kilometers. 4. Control: manual,
automated, and remote automated. 5.a. Operating VHF Band Uplink
Frequency: 148-154 MHz; 5.b. Operating VHF Band Downlink Frequency:
136-138 MHz; 6. Desired: keyhole elimination by proven wedge or tilted
axis; 7. Desired: operations year-round in Fairbanks, AK, with low
maintenance/impact due to environmental conditions. Please provide
