Defense Personnel Support Center (DPSC), Medical Readiness Integration
and Initiative Office,DPSC MRII, announces the initiation of a
Commercial Asset Visibility (CAV) Project to support DoD Medical
Readiness. This presolicitation notice solicits Prime Vendors' comments
regarding thd scope of work as defined herein. A discussion of your
orgianization's ability to meet such requirements is also required. The
CAV Project is an effort to update the mobilization requirements with
current pharmaceutical products that are emerging as product-of-choice
in the market place today. This presolicitation notice is for Prime
Vendors to provide DPSC, on a monthly or quarterly basis, the average
monthly usage based on sales, both commercial and military, of all the
Prime Vendors National Drug Code (NDC) items. This information is to
be furnished in an ASCII Text File or Microsoft "Access" format. The
data will cite NDC, quantity, associated NDC unit weight and cube. This
data is to be submitted to the DPSC point of contact. DPSC is not
looking for dollar values. This data is critical in maintaining
planning lists with current items, for supporting operations with the
latest technology, and acquiring commercial asset visibility for the
Prime Vendors' military and commercial sales. The objective of the CAV
project is to ensure that the military services are planning for the
most current items, supportable by the industrial base. Prime Vendors
are requested to submit responses that explain in sufficient detail
their understanding of the DPSC requirement, and how they intend to
accomplish the submission of the data required. DPSC will conduct an
information meeting on Tuesday, 5 August 97, starting at 9:30AM. This
meeting will be held at the Defense Personnel Support Center, 2800
South 20th Street, Philadelphia, Pa, Building 9, 4th floor, Medical
Integration conference room. DPSC requests that both the Prime Vendors'
government representative and the Information Management Systems'
person from the Prime Vendors' company attend. Following the
information meeting, the Prime Vendors will be requested to furnish
their responses, questions, and understanding of how to sumit the data
to DPSC. Date for receipt of the Prime Vendors' information is by
close of business, Friday, 15 August 97 to Maureen Keating, DPSC MRII,
2800 South 20th Street, Philadelphia, Pa 19145-5099. Fax responses are
acceptable. In the next phase, the information material received from
the Prime Vendors will be defined and placed in the Commerce Business
Daily again under a Broad Agency Announcement. Listed will be the exact
services required by DPSC. The Prive Vendors will submit prices for the
cost of submitting data in an ASCII Text File or Microsoft "Access"
format. The data will cite NDC, quantity, associated NDC weight and
cube. Also, any important information cited by the Prime Vendors in
their original informational responses received by 15 August 97. DPSC
plans to award a fixed price Licensing Agreement with the
