This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number RFQ 541-183-97 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-41. The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center Brecksville, OH intends to negotiate the procurement of Herman Miller/Milcare remanufactured workstation furniture. Contractor shall be required to meet the following requirement: (1) Items shall be Herman Miller/Milcare remanufactured products or equal, so as to ensure compatibility with the existing interior room and partitions; (2) Delivery shall be Free on Board (FOB) Destination and shall be delivered on-site at the Brecksville VA Medical Center within 30 days of award. The provision at Far 52.212.1, Instructions to Offers- Commercial items applies to this acquisition with the following changes, item (d) (e) and (h) of the standard clause are deleted. Offers shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212.3, Offerors Represen- tations and Certifications-Commercial items, with their offer. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial items, applies to this acquisition. The Clause at FAR 52.212.5, Contract Terms and Conditions required to implement Statutes or Executive Orders- Commercial items, applies to this acquisition which shall include the following clauses: 52-203-6, 52-203-10, 52.219-8, 52-219-14, 52.222-26 52-222-35, 52-222-36, 52-225-37,5225-3. The Contractor shall extend to the Govt, the full coverage at any standard commercial warranty normally offered in a similar commercial sale, provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Govt. The resulting contract will be firm fixed price. Interested offerors may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements by submitting a capability statement which must contain adequate information on supplying this type of furniture, and qualification to provide the product. This notice of intent is a request for competitive quotations. All capability statements received within 10 calendar days after the date of preparation of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. (0197)
