This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposal are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is (Request for Quotation) RFQ-51-97-051. Solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-44. This procurement falls within the definition of standard industrial classification code 3441. The small business size standard is 500 employees. The Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program is not applicable to this procurement. Technical specifications are: Item 1 -- 1 Each -- 50' long x 14' wide, two piece portable steel bridge superstructure. U-80 loading with a deflection ratio of L/500. Steel to be ASTM A-588. Decking to be metal. Guardrail to be required and all other misc. shall be included, i.e. bolts, bearing plates, elastomeric pads, etc. Design to be prepared and provided by licensed engineer in state of manufacture. Item 2 -- 2 Each -- Precast concrete sills, 30" x18"x16' with anchor bolts. Item 3 -- 2 Each -- Backwall for bridge. All the above items price to include shipping to Chepeta Lake, Utah approximately 42 miles northeast of Vernal, Utah. Required Delivery Date is September 1, 1997.
