Water Quality Laboratory has a requirement for low-level tritium
analysis. Services are required for 1) Tritium in water, direct gas
counting; 2) Tritium in water, electrolytic enrichment, gas counting 3)
Tritium in water, direct liquid scintillation; and 4) Tritium in water,
electrolytic enrichment followed by liquid scintillation with three
separate detection levels. The contractor shall have the capability of
analyzing tritium samples at a rate of 2-3 samples per day. Analytical
results shall be completed and delivered within 10 weeks of receipt of
the sample with shorter turnaround times on no more than 10% of the
total number of samples submitted. The contract will be for a one-year
period with up to four one-year renewal options. This acquisition is
open to all businesses regardless of size. The wages and benefits of
service employees performing under this contract must be at least equal
to those determined by the Department of Labor under the Service
ContractAct (see FAR 22.10). RFP 1434-CR-97-SS-00011 will be issued on
