This is a notice of intent to negotiate with EG&G Special Projects, 2450 Alamo Ave SE, PO Box 9100, Albuquerque, NM 87119 on an other than full and opern competitive basis to purchase of maintenance of equipment and software. EG&G is the designer, developer and manufacture of this patented technology. The Instrumentation Suite requires renewal of the maintenance and repair contract which also covers updates of this hardware. The data required to provide update and maintenance support is considered proprietary information by EG&G and is therefore, unavailable to other similar companies. No other company has access to the specifications and technical data required to duplicate and maintain this hardware. The government intents to negotiate on a sole source basis with EG&G Special Projects to ensure the capibility to manage other imminent and future systems installation, testing and evaluation and still support all present requirements and functionsof shipboard systems. Period of Performance: 97 Oct 01 throught 98 Sep 30. Performance is taken place at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland.
