Work under these specifications consists of modifying the existing spillway crest structure to correct seismic safety of dams deficiencies. Work will include furnishing and installing seats, guides and stoplogs for spillway crest structure; modifying radial gate hoists; excavating and replacing embankment material adjacent to spillway walls; removing equipment for existing floatwell system; backfilling floatwell system wells with concrete; furnishing and installing horizontal reinforcing bars in wall counterforts; furnishing and installing steel beams beneath existing spillway bridge beams; partially encasing steel beams in concrete; placing concrete on outside of spillway walls and within trunnion blockouts; placing concrete for load distribution beams; and furnishing and installing telemetry systems and automatic control system for spillway gates. The SIC Code utilized for this acquisition is 1629. Under this SIC Code, a business is considered a small business if their average annual receipts are notmore than $17 M for the preceeding 3 years. Award will be made pursuant to the "Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program". Contractors do not have to be a small business to submit an offer under this program. The price range of the work is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Technical proposals must be submitted and will be evaluated in addition to prices.
