Y -- UPGRADE STORM DRAINAGE, HURLBERT FIELD, FLORIDA SOL DACA01-97-B-0080 DUE 090997 POC Contact Karen Johnson (334)690-2535, Contracting Officer, Edward Slana (Site Code W31XNJ) Work consists of constructing storm drainage structures, spill containment structures, installing storm drainage culverts, road repairs, storm water pollution prevention in accordance with the best storm management practices. Work is at scattered locations at Hurlburt Field, including family housing and active runway areas. Construction phasing and special coordination requirements are required. Spill containment structures will require workarounds when it rains. Coordination with contractors working in adjacent sites is required. Special coordination and work restrictions will be required to minimize impact to base operations along to flight line and maintain a safe construction site. Bid documents are available on or about 7 August 1997. Estimated cost of work is between $500,000 to $1,000,000. Requests for plans and specifications shall indicate in writing whether firm will bid as a prime contractor or subcontractor. Firm's physical address, telephone and facsimile numbers and name of point of contact must be provided to facilitate any overnight mailing required. Bidders, subcontractors and Dodge/Plans Rooms are encouraged to register on the Internet to receive one free CD-ROM. Actual solicitation amendments will be issued either by fax, 3.5" diskette or CD-ROM. The plans and specifications will be issued on Compact Disc(CD-ROM) only and will be provided free of charge. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed paper formate; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government's best interest. All bid forms, bid bonds, and other normal documents required for the bid submittal, including amendments to the bid submittal, shall be in paper medium.
