solicitation invites proposals for work to be done at the Memphis, TN
Bulk Mail Center with a base contract requirement to remove (2)
existing 1140 ton chillers, starters, existing (2) pumps, related
piping and all related controls. Install (2) new 1200 ton chillers,
starters, (2) pumps, new piping, fans and DDC chiller plant automation
system. There are three (3) Alternate prices (to be accepted at the
option of the USPS) for: DDC control systems for multizone air handling
units; computer room units; rooftop units; replace valves; install
chillers and starters with 2800 GPM-150HP pumps, etc. Contractor will
be required to coordinate and phase actual work Nov. 1 -- April 15. A
TWENTY PERCENT (20%) PROPOSAL BOND IS REQUIRED WITH EACH PROPOSAL.
PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS WILL BE REQUIRED FROM THE SUCCESSFUL
OFFEROR. There will be a PREPROPOSAL CONFERENCE on August 11, 1997 at
1:00 p.m. in Room 219-D at the facility located at 1921 Elvis Presley

$1,000,000 and $1,500,000 with completion within 213 calendar days
after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Solicitation instructions,
