A IDIQ Type Contract with one base year and four one-year options may be awarded. The chemicals are the mixture of Potassium Acetate, should be at least 49% Potassium Acetate, 0.5% Corrosion Inhibitors, in 49% Water. This solicitation will be 25 July 97. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered. No telephone requests for the solicitation. Only written or Faxed requests received directly from the requestor are acceptable. Direct all Requests for solicitations and Routine Communication concerning this Acquisition to the Point of Contact in Item 11 above. An Ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government Personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
