70 -- UPGRADE OF INNOPAC TO DEC ALPHA PLATFORM SOL NHLBI-PS-SP-97-144 DUE 080597 POC Deborah Coulter, Purchasing Agent, (301) 435-0368, Fax number (301) 480-3345 The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Innovative Interfaces Inc., 5850 Sehllmound Street, Emeryville, CA. 94608, to purchase an Upgrade of Innopac to Dec ALPHA PLATFORM, which consist of the following: (A) INNOPAC DEC 255 cpu, with 128 MB memory, 2 GB disk storage, DEC UNIX 4.0 operating system, Ethernet TCP/TP connectivity, 10/100 Ethernet card, associated cables/controllers, expansion cabinet. (B) INNOPAC software configured for DEC ALPHA and DEC UNIX 4.0 operating system (incorporates operating system license upgrade), machine setup, software services (preparation of existing system for conversion, postconversion testing), database conversion, software installation, migration of 52 users (19 hardwired and 23 networked), 2 OCLC interfaces and 2 accounting interfaces, and one day on site service. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code 3572, Size Standard 1000 employees, will be used for this requirement. This notice of intent is n ot a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this requirement. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurement. The purchase order will be awarded fifteen (15) calendar days after the p ublication date of this notice. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency.
