R -- CONTINUATION OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE RURAL COMMUNITY HEALTH RESOURCE CENTER SOL 97-OA-B24959 POC Sarah Bueter, Contract Specialist (301) 443-5352; fax (301) 443-6038 The Health Resources and Services Administration intends to negotiate on a SOLE-SOURCE basis with Northern Lakes Health Consortium, 600 E Superior St, Suite 404, Duluth, MN 55802. This procurement shall be processed in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. The purpose of this procurement is to support the further development of a Rural Health Resource Center that shall build state and local capacity to do community based rural health system planning, guide rural health networks and enhance managed care capabilities. The Center shall help State Offices of Rural health provide technical assistance and training to rural communities in their own states. In addition, the Center shall arrange training and provide materials to state and local personnel. It has been determined that Northern Lakes Health Consortium is the only responsbile source capable of fulfilling this requirement. A Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition is onfile.
