of th Army Family Team Building Program is issuing a combined
synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation; quotes are hereby requested, a written solicitation
will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for
Quotations DASW01-97-Q-0523. Ths solicitation document, incorporated
provisions and clauses are in effect through the Federal Acquisition
Circular 90-32, Oct 95. This solicitation is 100% small business
set-aside. The standard industrial classification code (SIC)7389 @
$3.5mil. DESCRIPTION OF ITEMS TO BE ACQUIRED: TRANSLATION SERVICES OF

Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or

Term of Contract, applies to this acquisition. |The government will
award a Firm Fixed Price contract resulting from this solicitation to
the responsible offeror offering the lowest oeverall price. Award will
consist of a base year from date of award through 30 Sep 97 and two
(2) option years. Evaluation will be in accordance with FAR 52.212-2
past performance and price. STATEMENT OF WORK: The translational
services required of this contract are to provide a professional
product that will serve as standardized Department of the Army training
material. The contractor must be familiar with MS mail, MSWord 6.0,
Powerpoint, and Excel computer programs, as well as the equipment used
to composse, generate and reproduce completed products. The contractor
shall have a Bachelors degree in linquistical education for German and
Korean. The contractor must have demostrated written and oral
communication skills and translational experience in the required
languages. The contractor must document the capacity for tranlating for
both German and Korean. Evidence orf meetin the requirement shall be
reflected in the contractor's resume indicating prior performance. The
name, address and telephone number of three previously satisfied
customers within the last five years shall also be provided. The
contractor shall translate into German anad Korean official HQDA
material of about one thousand, eight hundred (1,800) pages. The
contractor will be resonsible for the translation and design similar to
that of the English version. Material for each leve will be given to
the contractor after award. Tranlations to include graphic outlays as
required within the material. Material translated on standard sstock
white bond paper 8"x10" with approximately one (1") margins. The
contractor will provide final copies written and computer disk
software. Software disk to be compatible with the standard microsoft
worrd 6.0. Provide a timeable review of drafts and dinal products as
mutually agreed upon between the contracting officer's
representative(CO) and the contractor. All materials developed as part
of this contract shall be the property of the government. The
contractor shall furnisht a plan that ensures quality services are
provided. This plan must include performance milestones and will a part
of the response to the contract. CONFIDENTIALITY OF I NFORMATION:
Information obtained by the contractor regarding soldiers or families
involved in AFTB shall be safeguarded in accordance with the provisions
of the Privacy Act of 1974. The applicalbe militarty medical
regulations governing the release of information, the Deviations from
or violation of the provisions of this section will, in addition to all
other criminal and civil remedies provided by law, subject the
contractor to immediate termination for default or require the
contractor to remove individuals involved. No oral quotes will be
honored. Responses shall be submitted, one (1) original and three (3)
