components of the reconstruction of a breached levee at Prospect Island
to its pre-breach elevation include: 1. Placement of an estimated
20,000 tons of rock material for rock dikes at the toes of the levee.
2. Placement of an estimated 10,000 tons of impermeable soil mixture
between the dikes. 3. Placement of armor stone on the slough side of
the re-established levee sideslope for erosion protection. NOTE:
Barge-mounted equipment and material imported by barge are anticipated
to be required. The SIC Code utilized for this acquisition is 1629.
Under this SIC Code, a business is considered a small business if their
average annual receipts are not more than $17M for the preceeding three
years. Award will be made pursuant to the "Small Business
Competitiveness Demonstration Program." Contractors do not have to be
a small business to submit an offer under this program. The estimated
price range of this work is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. To request
