Work includes addition of insulation and prefinished metal soffits at existing carport ceilings for 450 duplex units (14 building types); blocking and sealing of open joist cavities along with the addition of insulation under floors of cantilevered closets on the second floor of duplexes and sealing of return air plenums. Removal of 450 existing asphalt driveways and replacement with concrete drives, to include drainage corrections. Minor landscaping work and site grading are also required. Install deadbolts and replace locksets at seven housing areas; install deadbolts in one housing area; and replace locksets in one housing area. LBP exists on some doors. The duration of the contract will initially be a 24-month period, with one 12-month option period. The minimum guaranteed amount for the initial 24-month period is $73,000.00 and the extimated maximum amount for the same period is $3,650,000.00. The plans and specifications have been placed on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge. Specifications will not be provided in a printed paper hard copy format. Notification of amendments shall be made through either 3.5" diskette, CD-ROM, and/or the Internet. The Government intends to issue this solicitation through the use of CD-ROM and the Internet. However, the Government reserves the right to use only the Internet as notification of any changes to this solicitation.
