49 -- MODIFICATION AND INSTALLATION OF ONE EACH STATIONARY TRICHLOROETHYENE VAPOR- SPRAY, STEAM HEATED DEGREASER., SOL DAAC01-97-Q-0203 DUE 080597 POC Purchasing Agent ROCHELLE PRESTON (205) 235-6528 Contracting Officer JANICE NORTON (205) 236-6629 (Site Code DAAC01) Modification and Installation of one each, Stationary Trichloroethylene Vapor-Spray, Steam Heated Degreaser System, and the removal of obsolete vapor degreaser system. The degreaser system to be modified was manufactured by Vapor Engineering and consists of a Model VD/S-120X Vapor Degreaser and Model E-75 Solvent Recovery Still. The system when modified, shall conform to and be in strict accordance with specifications. The system shall be completely installed, tested and ready for operation in accordance with specifications. The system shall consist of cleaning tank, freeboard refrigeration system (chiller), solvent recovery still, solvent storage tank, floor grating, associated piping, controls, pumps and secondary containment. The obsolete degreaser and still along with associated piping and solvent storage tank shall be decontaminated, cut into pieces and placed in containers provided by the Government. Firms that recognize and can perform this service are encouraged to identify themselves within 15days from the date of this publication. A site visit is scheduled for 7 Aug 97 at 10:00 A.M.
