61 -- GENERATORS, SWITCHBOARD AND INSTALLATION INTO GOVERNMENT ELECTRICAL VAN SOL N63394-97-R-1110 DUE 080597 POC Purchasing Agent, HEATHER BARNWELL, (805) 982-0634 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Solicitation N63394-97-R-1110 is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-41. This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 3621 and the business size is 1,000 employees. The contract line items, quantities and unit of measure are: CLIN 0001 -- 2 Each Generators, KOHLER Model 150ROZ-R. CLIN 0002 -- 2 Each Generators, KOHLER Model 60ROZJ. CLIN 0003 -- 1 each Distribution Switchboard. CLIN 0004 -- Installation of CLINs 0001 through 0003 into a Government electrical van No.12. CLINs 0001 and 0002 shall meet the specification criteria in order for the power and distribution system to be compatible with the Mobile Logistics Support Van, Complex No. 2. This requirement is restricted to the Brand name of Kohler. Proposals for equal items are not acceptable and will not be considered. Only proposals from contractors within a 500 mile maximum radius will be considered. The contractor shall pick up and return the government electrical van to Oxnard, CA. Location provided at time of award. Delivery shall be FOB Destination only. Proposals shall include sufficient technical documentation to establish a bona fide capability to meet this procurement. Delivery within 120 days from date of award is required. The offeror shall provide their standard commercial warranty and include information on length of warranty, effective date, specific terms and conditions and warranty service provider company name and telephone number. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the lowest-priced technically acceptable responsible offeror. The Contracting Officer intends to evaluate offers and complete the award without discussions with offerors. Therefore, the offeror's initial offer should contain the offeror's best terms from a price and technical standpoint. However, the Government reserves the right to conduct discussions if later determined by the Contracting Officer to be necessary. Facsimile Proposals will be accepted.
