Hazardous Area Monitoring System (PHAMS) A turn key alarm generated
monitoring system to provide wiireless telemetric data on the condition
and well being of aircraft maintenance employees working in confined
space, system must be capable of expansion and range extension trough
remote access satellite stations/ satelite node integration. (02 Ea)
access satellites shall have the same functions as associated with the
main monitoring system and will contain recharging stations. (40 Ea)
portable monitors, monitors will provide wireless telemetric data on
the condition and well being of confined space entry personnel,
integration with various types of environmental monitoring devices
(such as gas detectors) alarm generation of abnormal conditions and
voice communication. (10 Ea) gas detectors a gas detection system
option will be integrated with the portable monitor. This system will
provide real-time information of gas levels in the environment. The
system will comply with the following regulations: FEDOSHA 29 CFR
1910.146, AFOSH 127-25, T.O. 1-1-3, Fcc, NTIA/Air Force, state & local.
There will be a pre proposal conference conducted for this requirement,
the information pertaining to this conference will be stated on the
request for proposal (RFP) The approximate issue/response date will be
07 Aug 97. No telephone requests. Only written or faxed requests
received directly from the requestor are acceptable. All responsible
sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall
be considered. Request for copies of solicitations must reference the
entire solicitation number, including purchasing office identification
number. To expedite your request, limit the number of individual
solicitation numbers requested per letter to not more than 10. Don't
request information on this requirement until after the issue date. An
Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors
orpotential offerors during the proposal development phase of this
acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the
authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to
communicate contractor, concerns, issues, disagreements, and
recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When
requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the
source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the
evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Interested
