MOX FUEL PROGRAM ACQUISITION STRATEGY The Chicago Operations Office of the Department of Energy (DOE) issued a Program Acquisition Strategy (PAS) for the acquisition of mixed oxide (MOX) fuel fabrication services and reactor irradiation services on July 17, 1997, as announced in the March 27, 1997 Commerce Business Daily. The PAS describes the DOE's intended approach for acquiring these services. Comments on this approach are requested from prospective offerors. A PAS Workshop will be held August 28, 1997 at the DOE Chicago Operations Office, Argonne, Illinois, to discuss comments and related issues prior to issuance of a request for proposals. The PAS is posted on the DOE Chicago INTERNET Home Page at http://www/ch.doe.gov/business/ACQ.htm.
