COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JULY 22,1997 PSA#1892UNSOLICITED PROPOSAL Federal Prison Industries, Inc. (FPI) intends to
enter into an agreement with CORPRO, 382 Ellortina Circle, Green Bay,
WI on an unsolicited proposal basis, for the introduction of new
vertical integration programs for the production of products internal
to the corporation (component parts) and for sale in the federal
market. The estimated value of this initiative is $300,000.00. The
value of additional initiatives is unknown. FPI is a wholly-owned
Government corporation within the Department of Justice, under the
federal prison system. FPI was created by Congress in 1934, and
provides employment, education, and training opportunities to inmates
under federal custody. FPI's mission is to employ and provide skills
training to the greatest practicable number of inmates in federal
corectional facilities necessary to ensure the safe and secure
operation of such facilities, and in doing so, produce market priced,
quality goods in a self-sustaining manner that minimizes potential
impact on private businessand labor. Other potential vendors may
identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement
or may identify other business opportunities which will support FPI's
