This solicitation is restricted to general contractors previously pre-qualified under Solicitation 193045-97-A-0057. The U.S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals for a new construction owned facility to be called Cheney Ridge Carrier Annex, Lincoln NE. Tthe value of the work is estimated to be between $1.5M and $2.25M. Description of the work is: The project consists of a one-story facility of approximately 16,603 GSF including an enclosed mail platform. The site is part of the proposed "Aspen 4th Addition", located south and west of the intersection of Pine Lake Road and South 56th Street, Lincoln, NE. William G. Krein, of Krein Real Estate, referred to as the developer, tele. no. 402-483-2911, will construct a street along the north and west property lines of the project site, to be known as "Red Rock Lane". The developer will also extend all utilities including water, sanitary sewer, electric, gas and storm sewer, to the project site. The above mentioned improvements will be completed no later than Dec. 15, 1997. Multiple awards: The Postal Service may award one or more contracts to the same offeror. The multiple award amount will be determined by the sum of the reduced base bid amounts and alternate prices, as selected by the Postal Service. Project I08539 is offered as a project which may be combined with Project No. I08538 Omaha NE Stoneyridge Carrier Annex for a multiple award. If the offeror wishes the Postal Service to consider multiple contracts for the two projects mentioned above, provide a base bid, multiple award discount and reduced bid base bid amount for each project. The Postal Service reserves the right to award single or multiple contracts to the same offeror. There will be a non-refundable fee for plans and specifications.
