There is no solicitation package available. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, is requesting information from industry regarding options for purchasing laptop computers for use in supporting CSEL planning operations. Personal Computers: Functional requirements for the CSEL planning computer includes as a minimum: IBM Compatible Pentium PC runninggreater than 100 MZ; 32 MB RAM; 2 RS-232 Comm Ports; 1 Parallel Port; 3.5 Floppy Drive; CD-ROM; Standard Keyboard; 1.2 GB or greater Hard Drive; Windows 95 or NT operating system. The computers must meet the following additional requirements: Power- The input power for the computer should be 100 to 240 VAC at 50-60 Hz; Temperature- The operating temperature range should be 0 degrees C to +50 degrees C. Temperature/Humidity- 5% to 95%, non-condensing; Dust- 10.5 grams per cubic cm @ 1750 FPM; Rain- 2"/hour with 20MPH wind: Functional Shock- A peak shock of 30 Gs with duration of no greater than 11 ms; Floppy and Hard Drives not operational.
