The Volpe Center plans to procure through simplified acquisitions procedures a CD ROM Regulatory Database License and subscribe to Service on LAN workstation, internet and intranet environments at a specified unit price which will include the Volpe Center and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) establishments nationwide. The contractor must be able to provide monthly updates for the following publications: CFR, State Statues, State Environmental Health and Safety Regulations -- including Puerto Rico, EPA Guidance Documents, OSHA Supplemental Publications, NIOSH Publications and the Military Publications database which includes Air Force, Navy, Department of Defense, Corps of Engineers and Army Regulations. The contractor will also be required to submit a weekly newsletter covering the environmental and safety regulation changes in the Federal Register and in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. All services must be commercially available and ready for delivery in CD ROM, internet and intranet environments. Small Business Firms classified under SIC Code 7372 that are interested in proposing on this requirements must request a Request for Quotation (RFQ) in writing. Quotation issuance will be on or about August 4, 1997. A single award will result from this solicitation. No Telephone requests will be accepted -- only written requests for this quotation will be accepted -- however, we will accept requests for his quotation via facsimile, at (617) 494-3649, Attn: Karen Marino, DTS-853., This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Business and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For further information and applicable forms concerning the STLP, please call the OSDBU at (800) 532-1169. For information concerning the acquisition, contact the contracting official listed above.
