Heater, 4) Inspect, Overhaul and Test Weight Handling Equipment. 5)
Renew Turtle Back Hydraulic Piping, 6) Replace Cleats with New Double
Bitts. 7) Overhaul and Weight Test Shipboard Davit Crane, 8) Install
Additional Liferafts, 9) Overhaul and Test Dual Point Boat Davit, 10)
Renew Marinite Panels. 11)Preserve Buoy Deck, 12) Clean and Inspect
Diesel Fuel Tanks, 13) Provide Temporary Messing, 14) Provide Temporary
Berthing, 15) Provide Temporary Logistics. Indefinite Items Include,
but are not limited to the following: 1) Relocate Pad Eyes, 2)
Additional Temporary Logistics. Vessel's homeport is Charleston, SC.
Vessel length is 180' overall. Vessel availability schedule will be 14
October 1997, for 28 days. The place of performance for this vessel
will be at its homepier in Charleston, SC. There will be a
non-refundable charge required in the form of a certified check or
money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard in the amount of
$100.00 for requested U.S. Coast Guard specification reference
drawings. All other referenced documents are available for viewing at
300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA. Plans and specifications
will be issued on or after 12 August 1997. All responsible sources may
submit a bid which shall be considered by the United States Coast
Guard. This notice is for informational purposes for Minority

Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business
Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
Loans are available under the DOT Sort Term Lending Program (STLP) at
prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts
receiving financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms
to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per
contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a
