Development (USAID) seeks a Contractor who can research, design, build,
and install a public exhibit and provide accompanying written materials
to be distributed to the general public. The materials shall detail the
history of foreign assistance, USAID's current programmatic emphasis,
the inter-relationship between the U.S. private and U.S. Government
assistance overseas, the importance of USAID's programs in carrying out
foreign policy, and the benefits of a strong foreign assistance program
to the economic and national security of the United States. The
preferred method of distribution of USAID procurement information is
via the Internet or by request of a solicitation on a 3.5" floppy disk
(WordPerfect 5.1/5.2 format). This CBD notice can be viewed and
downloaded using the Agency Web Site. The Request for Quotation (RFQ),
once issued, can be downloaded from the Agency web site. The Worldwide
Web address is http://www.info.usaid.gov. Select Business and
Procurement Opportunities from the home page, then "USAID
Procurements." On the following screen, select "Download Available
USAID Solicitations." The RFQ can also be downloaded via Anonymous File
Transfer Protocol (FTP). The FTP address is FTP.INFO.USAID.GOV. Logon
using the user identification of "anonymous" and the password is your
e-mail address. Look under the following directory for the RFQ:
pub/OP/RFQ/AEP97001/aep97001.RFQ. Receipt of this RFQ through INTERNET
must be confirmed by written notification to the contact person noted
above. It is the responsibility of the recipient of this solicitation
document to ensure that it has been received from INTERNET in its
entirety and USAID bears no responsibility for data errors resulting
from transmission or conversion processes. Telephone or facsimile
requests for the solicitation will not be honored. Issuance date will
be at least fifteen (15) days after publication of this synopsis.
Closing date is anticipated to be thirty (30) days thereafter. This
procurementwill be conducted under the Simplified Acquisition
Procedures. The Government reserves the right not to award a contract
