(IMT) 97, 5-7 NOVEMBER, 1997 Innovations in Marine Technology (IMT) 97,
sponsored by: The International WorkBoat Show, American Society of
Naval Engineers (ASNE), Society of Naval Architects and Marine
Engineers (SNAME) will be held 5-7 November, 1997 at the Ernest N.
Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. This symposium
provides an excellent forum for discussion and presentation of new
developments in marine technology. The WorkBoat Show in New Orleans is
an ideal setting for dialog with a broad range of maritime interests
from commercial tankers to supply boats, offshore platforms to complex
military vessels. Original papers or presentations are requested.
Suggested topics include Production Techniques in Ship Construction,
Design for Affordability, Design for Operator Efficiency, Automated
Manufacturing, Marine Electronics, Modeling and Simulation, Oil Spill
Recovery Techniques, Electro-optics, Offshore Platform Safety and
Training. Submit a 1-2 page abstract that describes the
paper/presentation topic and scope. Include the title, author's
