FLEET MAINTENANCE SYMPOSIUM The San Diego ASNE Section is hosting the 6th biannual Fleet Maintenance Symposium on 14-16 October 1997 at the Town and Country Hotel, San Diego, CA. This symposium will provide a forum for addressing Fleet maintenance challenges and opportunities, tying together the timely themes of Maintenance, Manning, and Money. Senior Navy and leaders of industry have been invited to chair contemporary discussion groups and to speak at luncheons and an evening banquet. Relevant technical papers will be presented in three tracks on Wednesday and Thursday, focusing on general maintenance, infrastructure changes, changing environments, manning, money and maintenance support, and additional maintenance requirements. Up to 100 exhibitors will display their wares and maritime expertise. A special section will be dedicated to demonstrating computer software. In a special effort to encourage U.S. Navy deckplate personnel to participate in the symposium, all military attending in uniform will not be charged a registration fee. Full registration for ASNE members is $125, $195 for non-members. One day registration is $75 for members and $100 for non-members. Remaining exhibit booths are $950 and are going fast.
