The intention of this solicitation is to obtain solid waste and recyclables collection and disposal services at Beaufort Naval Hospital, Laurel Bay Family Housing, and Marine Corps Air Station, Beaufort, S.C. by means of a Firm-Fixed Price and Indefinite Quantity Contract. The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, supplies, and equipment necessary to collect and dispose of solid waste, including the collection and disposal of garbage, debris, rubbish, and other discarded solid waste resulting from residental, industrial, commerical, and community activites. Included is a comprehensive Curbside Commingled Recyclables Collection Program for all residental areas. Excluded from this function is collection and disposal of: (1) hazardous waste, (2) solids or dissolved materials in domestic sewage, (3) other pollutants in water resources such as silt and dissolved or suspended solids, and (4) infectious/medical waste. The proposed contract listed herein is issued as an unrestricted procurement for a period of one year with four options, not to exceed 60 months.
