The Office of Justice Programs intends to award a sole source purchase
order to the National Indian Justice Center,Inc.(NIJC), #7 Fourth
Street, Suite 46, Petaluma, California, 94952, to provide a training
track of workshops relevant to Native Americans for a conference
sponsored by the National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA). It
is necessary for the Office of Justice Programs to utilize an
organization who has knowledge and expertise of victimization issues in
Indian country. It is critically important to have an agency that can
effectively manage scholarships for tribal personnel, including
registration fees, travel arrangements, and hotel accommodations when
necessary. The NIJC has considerable knowledge of Indian tribes, their
cultures, languages, their criminal justice and social services
systems, and crime victims issue on the various reservations. This
purchase order will be negotiated under the authority of 41 U.S.C.
252(c)(1) - -- Only One Responsible Source with Unique Capabilities.
