Hawkins, Contracting Officer, 601/377-8581 The work includes preparation, cleaning, and painting of the exterior of Water Tank #180 which consists primarily of an elevated steel potable water storage tank, steel support structure, and associated piping. Approximate overall height of the water tank is 140 feet. Abrasive vacuum "brush off" blasting will be required on approximately 14,450 sq.ft. of tank surface and near white abrasive vacuum blasting will be required on the remaining 3,000 sq. ft. of rusted or deteriorated tank surface. Existing paint on Water Tank 180 contains lead. That portion of paint which is to be removed shall be removed, handled, and disposed of as hazardous waste. Estimated cost range $25,000.00 to $100,000.00. Time for completion one hundred fifty (150) calendar days. (0199)
