The work includes the replacement of the Halon fire protection system and related work in building 2700, the Naval Ocean Processing Facility and incidental related work. There is a base bid (CLIN 0001) and 1 option for this project. The base bid is all of the above work in accordance with drawings and specifications. Option #1, (CLIN 0002) is all work associated with the replacement of the chiller at building 994, replacement of the refrigerant in the chillers at building 382, replacement of a refrigerated air dryer at building 2538, and replacement of the Halon fire protection systems at buildings 27, 2593, and 2738 as identified on NAVFAC Drawing Numbers 6420620 through 6420636 and 6420639 through 6420644. During performance of this work, asbestos, hazardous waste, or pollution abatement may be encountered. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1711. The related small business size standard is $7 Million. The estimated cost of the proposed procurement is between $100,000 and $250,000. Plans and specifications will be available on or about 06 Aug 97. There will be a non-refundable charge of $60.00 for plans and specifications.
