Bass-Dyer,(301)713-6755 CONSOLIDATED FACILITIES MANAGEMENT SERVICES -- Pursuant to the authority of 44 U.S.C. 2112(a) and Public Law 89-169, the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Texas A&M University, Vice President for Finance and Administration, Rudder Tower, 9th Floor, College Station, TX 77843-1247 for Consolidated Facilities Management & Utilities at the George Bush Presidential Library. The Library is located wholly within the University grounds, and the building is owned by the University, with perpetual use granted to NARA to operate the facility as a Presidential archival despository. Under the terms of the Agreement to be signed on November 06, 1997, the date the building will be dedicated as the George Bush Presidential Library, the University is responsible for maintenance f the building. Mechanical systems used by the Library are inter-connected with the University Central Plant and the University Police has responsibility for securityof the building. All utilities (except telephone service and gas service) are provided via the University Central System. Period of contract will begin o/a/ 11/06/97 through 9/30/98 with four (4) additional one (1)-year options. The Government has determined that there is only one responsible source.
