Contracting Officer, 608-584-6119 The Federal Correctional Institution,
Oxford, WI is soliciting to establish a contract with an X-Ray
Technician to provide services to inmates incarcerated at the Federal
Correctional Institution and Federal Prison Camp located in Oxford,
Wisconsin. The contractor will perform independent, routine, diagnostic
radiograms, as requested by the medical staff at the Federal
Correctional Institution, Oxford, Wisconsin. The contractor will assist
the Radiologist in specialized radiographic procedures: UGI series,
barium enemas, IVPs, arthrograms, venograms, and ultrasounds. The
contractor will file dictated radiographic reports of radiology (when
needed), provide in-house training to medical staff in performing
routine radiograms, maintain x-ray dead file, and forward all radiogram
files to the appropriate institutions when inmates are transferred. The
contractor will provide transcribed x-ray reports of radiograms
dictated by the radiologist. Further, the contractor will maintain the
daily x-ray log, log of "Interesting and Unusual Cases", and provide
statistics for any necessary surveys/reports. Services to be provided
in two hour sessions, twelve sessions per week for an estimated 624
sessions for the contract period of October 1, 1997 through September
30, 1998. The offeror must be a graduate from an approved school of
Radiology Technology and must possess current state certification
and/or licensing for the practice of x-ray technician or registered
technician of radiology in the State of Wisconsin to be considered for
award. Offerors must have verification of credentials and proof of
liability insurance issued by a responsible carrier in order to be
eligible for award. There will be a pre-bid conference/site visit at
the Federal Correctional Institution on August 6, 1997. A firm
fixed-price contract will be awarded on or about September 3, 1997 to
the lowest qualified bidder. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for
small business. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which
