The solicitation packages will be available on July 25, 1997 with an anticipated bid opening on or about August 28, 1997. The successful bidder will be responsible for Orthopedic services being professional in nature, as provided in the method as considered normal in the local community. They will exam, evaluate and diagnose orthopedic problems in the Medical Department. He/She will install casts, order diagnostic x-rays, etc. The successful contractor must be a Board certified Orthopedic Surgeon with current license to practice. Services are requested for a eight hour day once a month. The resulting contract will be a one year contract, starting Date of Award through September 30, 1998. Additionally, the successful bidder will be required to pass a background investigation. This acquisition is a 100% set-aside for small business concerns.
