MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE UNDER CURRENT GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES OF MEDICAL BIOLOGICAL DEFENSE PRODUCTS The U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command anticipates awarding a sole source contract extension to Contract DAMD17-88-C-8082 with The Salk Institute for a period of seven and one half months for storage and maintenance under cGMP of Medical Biological Defense Products. The contract extension will begin 16 August 1997 and be effective through 31 March 1998. Justification: The Salk Institute is the only responsible source that can ensure an orderly transition of Medical Biological Defense Products and all associated data and records to the new Joint Vaccine Acquisition Program Prime Systems Contractor. All responsible sources must provide written documentation demonstrating identical capabilities with The Salk Institute to the address above. See Note 22.
