S -- AIRCRAFT CORROSION AND CLEANING SERVICES SOL F45603-97-R9004 DUE 091597 POC Lisa Morales, Contract Specialist, (253) 984-3870/Russell Hanson, Contracting Officer, (253) 984-3869 The contractor shall provide aircraft corrosion control and cleaning sevices, as called for on aircraft assigned to and transient to McChord AFB, Washington. The contractor will provide different types of aircraft cleaning services for the current fleet of C-141 aircraft and for the C-17 aircraft which will eventually replace the C-141. Types of washes are very specific and include scheduled home station check, isochronal, refurb washes accomplished in the wash facility hangar. Unscheduled flight line washes include exterior aircraft surface washes and interior before flight cleaning. Services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 day a week (weekends and holidays are included). A firm-fixed price, requirements type contract is contemplated. The contract is planned for a 60 month period of performance which includes a 12 month base period to be awarded effective 01 April 1998, and four (4) one-year option periods. The requirements will be procured as a Commercial Item in accordance with FAR Part 12 utilizing Commercial Acquisition Procedures. This is a negotitated procurement, award will be based on Performance-Price Trade-Off (PPT). The government will award a contract resulting from the solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation requirements, is technically acceptable, and will provide the best value to the government considering price and past performance. Contractor will be required to submit both technical and cost proposals. This procurement is set aside for small business concerns. The small business size standard for this acquisition is $5 million. SIC code is 4581. All responsible small business sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the agency.
