S -- WAREHOUSING AND STORAGE SERVICES AT JPL SOL 97/12 DUE 080697 POC Stephen Mitchell; FAX (818) 354-3494 The Jet Propulsion Laboratory/California Institute of Technology (JPL/Caltech), operating under a prime contract with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), seeks to determine the interest of potential proposers for warehousing and storage services. The contractor shall provide between 120,000 to 140,000 sq. ft. warehouse space for storage of project hardware, machinery, surplus equipment, stand-alone furniture, and furniture systems (partitions). Site to be located within a two (2) hour drive of the JPL in La Canada/Flintridge, CA. The contractor must provide transition from the existing warehouse to he new warehouse. Services shall include: (1) inventory; (2) safeguard and pack at the existing warehouse; (3) shipment from old to the new warehouse; and (4) unpack, store, and inventory in the new warehouse. The contractor shall also provide: (1) inventory control; (2) pick-up and shipment services, as required; and (3) may be expected to coordinate disposal of surplus and scrap property.
