The 18th Wing, Kadena AB, Okinawa, Japan is soliciting interest from private parties to lease (with an option to maintain) approximately 50 to 250 existing or new family housing units for the US military housing inventory on Okinawa. The 18th Wing is interested in entering into one or more lease or build/lease agreements with parties willing to provide/ build housing in return for the commitment of the 18th Wing (Lesee) to enter into a multiple year firm term lease (with options for renewal), once completed and accepted by the Lesee under the terms and conditions of the agreement(s). Occupancy is expected to commence approximately September 1999 or earlier. The 18th Wings goal is to add suitable three and four bedroom housing units (at a minimum of 50 units per site) for military families within a 30 minute driving commute from Kadena Air Base for a reasonable price without incurring substantial termination liability.
