The work involves the construction of a new post office building in Boise, Idaho. The facility is approximately 7, 263 square feet on a vacant site of approximately 94,090 square feet. Work includes but is not limited to, demolition, earthwork, site utilities and site improvements, paving, landscaping and irrigation. Work also includes concrete foundations, and slab-on-grade, wood structure, wood trusses and decking, roof shingles, masonry, wood stud partitions, insulation, gypsum board walls and ceiling, ceramic tile, acoustical ceiling, resilient flooring, carpeting, custom cabinets and fixtures, carpentry, glass store front systems, painting, metal doors, wood doors, metal frames, door hardware, sectional overhead doors, metal fabrications, toilet partitions and accessories, signage, lockers, loading dock equipment. The electrical and communication system, plumbing system and the mechanical systems shall be completed by the contractor as a design/build process. This design/build process shall include the preparation of design documents for review and comment; as well as the furnishing and installation of complete and operational electrical and communication systems, plumbing systems and mechanical systems meeting the specifications contained within the construction documents. Construction performance period is 90 to or 120 calendar days from date of issuance of notice to proceed. Contractor shall submit two price proposals. One proposal based on a construction schedule of 90 calendar days and one proposal based on a construction schedule of 120 calendar days. The cost range of this facility is $600,000 to $900,000.
