The project consists of the design and construction of expanded facilities for the United States Postal Service Processing & Distribution Facility, located at 100 Pitcher Street, Utica, New York 13504-9998. Included are design services, construction materials and labor required to expand the existing facility by approximately 46,000 gross square feet, along with associated site improvements, as described in the solicitation documents. Technical submittals will require evidence of (1) Experience; (2) Management Plan; (3) Financial Capability; and (4) Organization. Plans will be available July 25, 1997. Offers due August 21, 1997. Performance time is 270 calendar days from date of Notice to Proceed. The estimated cost range is between $2,500,000 and $2,750,000. A formal Preproposal Conference is scheduled for Thursday, August 7, 1997, 10 a.m., at the Utica Processing & Distribution Facility. Attendance is not mandatory, but is strongly encouraged.
