Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) is building an Interim Control Module
(ICM) for the NASA International Space Station (ISS). In support of
this effort, NRL has a requirement for twenty (20) tank isolation latch
valves. The valves will be used in the ICM Reaction Control System to
isolate Monomethylhydrazine (MMH), Nitrogentetroxide (NTO) and Helium
at a nominal pressure of 300 psia in a manned space vehicle. The
proposed valves must have demonstrated a minimum of 20,000 operational
cycles, proven long term propellant compatibility with MMH and NTO,
and demonstrated environmental and qualification testing for manned
space flight operations. The Specification will be included with the
solicitation. The required delivery schedule is no later than February
10, 1998. The solicitation will close 15 days after the issuance date.
A Firm Fixed Price contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR part
12 -- Acquisition of Commercial Items. This acquisition is
unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which
shall be considered by NRL. Telephone requests for the solicitation
