70 -- LOGISTICS PROCESS AND PROTOTYPING SYSTEM (LPAP) SOL DAAB07-97-R-6010 POC Patricia Davis, Contract Specialist, 703-325-1713 It is the intent of the CECOM Acquisition Center to issue Request for Proposal DAAB07-97-R-6010 for technical support in the development of the Logistics Process Analysis and Prototyping (LPAP) system from Gensym Corporation of Chantilly, VA. The contractor shall lay out architecture, design and acturally program a G2 program which will simulate the retail Army logistics system in garrison. The system will graphically depict the processes of Army logistics in garrison. The graphics will be tied to underlying databases to support the metrics which will measure the impacts of changes to the system. The program will be written in such a way that data can either be fed from live databases or through the use of simulated data. The program will be disigned to make optimum use of the work already completed by CASCOM in their SIMULOGS program which models logistics distribution in the theater. The LPAP program will be capable of interfacing with the SIMULOGS program. The systems are to be purchased in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Other Than Full And Open Competition, Only One Responsible Source And No Other Supplies Or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements from Gensym Corporation of Chantilly, VA.
