D -- TELEPHONE SWITCH & SERVICES SOL N660R971005 POC Shannon Wondra, Contractual (303) 236-6582, Steve Politch, Technical (907) 356-5013 The contractor(s) shall be responsible for the purchase, engineering, programming and installation of a Mitel 2000x, Meridian 1 Option 61c or equal, telephone switch at the BLM Alaska Fire Service in Fort Wainwright, Alaska. The switch shall support 450 end users and be expandable to 700 users. The proposal shall include the 100 multiline instruments and one attendant console. The switch shall have a 4-hour backup UPS power system. The annual cost of contractor provided maintenance for the software, hardware and other system components shall be included for consideration as an option to the Governemnt. The contractor(s)shall be responsible for the purchase, engineering, programming and installation of a voice mail system that is compatible with the switch purchased and a Meridian SL-1 Option 22 switch. This voice mail system shall support 250 mailboxes and 50 hours of voice traffic. The contractor(s) shall have the capability of assuming all basic telephone service and voice mail afor the Alaska Fire Service at BLM's request. Additionally, the contractor(s) shall have the ability of providing paging, cell phones, data communications circuits (intrastate), computer telephony integration and other telephony services. This service must be equal to or better than those required in the specifications for the switch and voice mail. Past performance shall be an important evaluation factor.
