This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. The James A. Haley VA Hospital intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Motorola, Inc., Hanover, MD for eight (8) each of the following: Astro Digital XTS-3000 Portable Radios, Part# H09RDH9PW7-N; H37 Smartnet Operation; Q242 -- Astro Digital VSELP Operation; H795-DES-XL Encryption, or equal to match and modify already existing Motorola's Analog Smartnet 2 Trunking Systems. Items shall be 100 percent compatible with Motorola's product to match existing product. Equipment is to be delivered to Offutt Air Force Base, Bellvue, Nebraska. If submitting a quote on a brand name equal, adequate technical information, for the Government's evaluation, shall be submitted with quotation. Failure to submit adequate technical information shall be grounds for rejection of quotations. Adequate technical information shall include but not be limited to technical specifications, product availability, product picture,product features, etc.. Quotations shall be submitted on an "all or none" basis. Partial quotations shall be rejected. All quotations shall state delivery time, F.O.B., F.O.B. point, shipping weight and cost if any. Offerors shall provide a complete set of provisions with quotation found at 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certification-Commercial Items. Provision and clauses found at 52.212-1, 52.212-4, 52.212-5 and 852.210-77 also apply. Quotations shall be submitted to the address listed herein or faxed to 813-903-4838 and directed to the attention of Sam Wimbish (90C). The Government shall not be held responsible for quality of fax transmittals. The solicitation number shall be listed on the outside of your response for identification purposes.
