Provide all Necessary labor, tools, materials, equipment and supervision for Project # 546-97-113, "Correct Life Safety Code Deficiencies", at the VA Medical Center, 1201 NW 16th Street, Miami, FL 33125, in accordance with the specifications and drawings. Scope of work is to, correct the life safety code deficiencies of the main hospital patient care and administration building, the Research and Education Building, the Research Lab Building and the Nursing Home Care Building. The total square footage of these buildings are 1,215,900 square feet. Fire protection sprinklers will be installed in portions of the first floor, the main building so that when completed the facility will have 100% coverage by an automatic fire protection system. Performance Time will be 270 Calendar Days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Cost range will be between $500,000 to $1,000,000. SIC Code is 1542. Solicitation issue date will be on or about August 13, 1997. A Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for August 26, 1997, 10 AM;Bid opening date will be September 9, 1997, 2:00 PM, both are held in the Contracting Office Conference Room, Trailer #8, VA Medical Center, Miami, FL.
