This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: quotes are being requested and a seperate solicitaiton will not be issued. Solicitation number DAAA03-97-T-0128 is issued as a Request of Quotation. This solictation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-45 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-11. The standard industrial code is 3541 and the Small Business size standard is 500 employees. This requirement is for a Bar Stock Feeder: 3/4" thru 2 1/2" diameter X 12 foot bar capacity with 61 inch pusher extension length; LNS type HYS665HS-5.2 consisting of : 1. A three piece aluminum profile barrel tube assembly containing 6 steel tubes arranged in a concentric circle with a manual indexing ring at the rear, and an automatic centering system at he front of the tube, with an electromechanical end bar signal system. Six guide tubes with internal diameters of: 2.362 inch (60mm) for 2 to 2 1/2 inch diameter barstock; 2.126 inch (54mm) for 1 5/8 to 2 inch diameter barstock; 1.732 inch (44mm) for 1 3/8 to 1 5/8 inch diameter barstock; 1.457 inch (37mm) for 1 to 1 3/8 inch diameter barstock; and 1.063 inch (27mm) for 3/4 to 1 inch diameter barstock. Each guide tube contains its own push bar and piston assembly; oil recuperator. 2. Front support stand with a 55 inch (1400mm) long support arm with crutch for loading barstock. 3. self-contained hydraulic system and reservoir; Electrical control for 110 volt AC controls and 22/460 volt, 3 phase, 60 hertz pump motor; manual and autometric controls for hydraulic system, on, off, manual advancement and retraction of piston and automatic operation in conjuction with the machine control; large capacity oil filter. 5. Alignment Kitand anchor bolts as standard equipment; Spindle liners (5 each required); 8 inch retract option. Installation is required.
