Modifications will be made to the existing surface collection system and a new behavior guidance structure will be constructed at Lower Granite Dam. Work includes: (1) approximately 3 million pounds of structural steel and metalwork fabrication; (2) walkway grating and guardrail modifications on the existing surface collector; (3) approximately 3000 lineal feet of 1-1/2 inch to 2 inch diameter wire rope and fittings; (4) approximately 1000 lineal feet of 1-3/8 inch Grade 3 stud link chain; and (5) surface supplied air diving operations will be required to depths of 90 feet to accomplish the work. Estimated cost is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Nonrefundable payment of $90.00 (ninety) for plans and specifications to accompany request for solicitation. If a large business is selected for this contract, it must comply with FAR 219-9 regarding the requirement for a subcontracting plan on that part it intends to subcontract. The intended subcontracting goals are that a minimum of 55% of the contractor's intended subcontract amount be placed with small businesses (SB), including 8.5% with small disadvantaged businesses (SDB), and 3.0% with women-owned small businesses (WOB).
