New feeder shall be installed and connected to feed water and electrical supply. Piping shall be installed from feeder to flash mix basin. Replace six 10- inch surface valves that control surface wash flow to filters. Valves are located in pipe gallery. Control and instrumentation shall also be installed so that valves can be operated from operations floor. Remove existing flow controller for surface wash located in pipe gallery. Install new flowmeter and flow indicators, flow controller, and flow transmitter. Install I/P transducer. Install two check valves, each with an isolation gate valve, each in a valve pit, on the high service distribution lines. Replace isolation valve no. 17, outside of sedimentation basin on no. 2. Isolation valve shall be a 24-inch gate valve. Replace isolation valve with butterfly valve on 20-inch high service line. Install a 36-inch gate, valve, and piping in the wet well at Red River Pump Station. Install a telemetry system at Red River Pump Station similar to system at Boiling Springs Pump Station to allow for remote pump control. SIC code is 1629/$17 million. Estimated dollar range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Performance period is 270 calendar days. Award of contract is subject to availability of funds. This acquisition is issued pursuant to the "Business Opportunity Development Reform Act of 1988" and subsequent award will be subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Therefore, this solicitation is unrestricted; however, solicitation will contain an evaluation preference for SDB concerns.
