17 -- REMANUFACTURE AND REFURBISHMENT OF F72 MAT PACKAGES (P/N 626577-1) SOL N68335-97-R-0311 DUE 082797 POC Joseph A Campanaro Code 213JC, (732) 323-7465. The Government intends to issue a Request for Proposal for the following: This acquisition is for Remanufacture and Refurbishment of F72 Mat packages (P/N 626577-1). AM2 Mat is fabricated, aluminum panel, 1 1/2 inches thick which consists of a semi-hollow, extruded, one piece mat section with extruded End Connectors welded to each end. AM2 Mat is designed to interlock in a brickwork type pattern with staggered joint arrangement to provide for the construction of portable runways and taxiways. For the purposes of the resulting contract, the Government will make available used twelve foot AM2 Mat Sheets that shall be modified and refurbished into six foot AM2 Mat and configured into a Mat Package, commonly referred to as an F72 Package, NAWCADLKE P/N 626577. The contractor shall be responsible for pickup of material from various locations, and delivery of finished material to Cheatum Annex, VA. The contractor shall be responsible for supplying the Edge Tool (NAWC P/N 510827) for repair of bent lips on AM2 Mat. Proposals will require a Manufacturing Plan and a Cost Proposal. The resulting contract shall have 3 options, First Article Test will be required. This procurement is a 100% Small Business Set-aside. The Government intends to procure the above item in accordance with PM362, aperature cards and contract requirements list. A pre-award survey may be required.
